Chrome now accounts for an astounding 70 per cent of browser activity via Windows 10.

Software Engineer Jackson Newhouse, of Quantcast said: "The wide release of buy office 2010 standard did initially bump Edge's market share from 12 per cent to 16 per cent.

"However, this increase was temporary, with Chrome recovering from temporary losses and reaching over 70 per cent market share of Windows 10, greater than the 63 per cent it pulls in on Windows 7 and 8.

"More and much more users are utilizing cheap Windows 10 Pro every day, and most have shifted from the old Internet Explorer.

"However, that movement hasn't entirely been towards Edge, with a quantity of users choosing Chrome instead.

"Microsoft may be able to make further inroads into the browser market with Edge, but it'll take more than a new operating system to unseat Chrome's dominance."

Microsoft Edge doesn't currently support browser extensions ?sect;C a must-have feature you will find in every other browser used in Microsoft's lab-controlled test.

The feature is placed to reach later come july 1st, alongside the following blockbuster Windows 10 update.

Dubbed buy office professional 2013 plus Anniversary Update, the next generation operating system will also boast more battery-life enhancements for Edge, thanks to fewer CPU cycles, less memory consumption along with a tighter hang on background activity.
