I recently purchased a new laptop (HP Pavilion 360) and I attempted to install buy office 2010 . An error sign appeared letting me know that the key I used had been accepted but I needed to phone an 1800 number to check what the error was. When I phoned the technician told me It wasnt installing and that I needed to purchase a firewall to successfully complete the download of Office 2013.

Could you verify to me that this was the correct advice please? The firewall she sold me was from AlliedWallet and cost 250 US dollars. Have I been scammed?
